Phil Kaye

I served in the Australian Army from 1988 – 2001 in both a full-time and part-time capacity. The majority of which I was an Air Dispatcher.

For the last 23 years I have been teaching as a PE Teacher.

My current role is Dean of Students 7-10 at William Carey Christian School.

I have always loved the outdoors and have been involved heavily in outdoor recreation and the Duke of Ed programs for many years.

In 2013 I was lucky enough to make my first trip to Kokoda taking students along with me. I fell in love with the history, the track and most importantly the people of Kokoda.

Up until covid, I ran a trek each year as the guide and in 2022 I ran my first trek in partnership with Kokoda Spirit.

My passion is to continue to take people across the track and to keep the history alive for as long as I can.
